Do you require assistance with Medicare's PECOS online application/revalidation process? HPMSI provides assistance to new providers (Medicare Part B) and new suppliers for Durable Medical Equipment (provider-owned locations only).
HPMSI can also assist existing providers with changes to Medicare enrollment status and revalidation requests.
To ensure you have access to Medicare's PECOS system:
(2) You will need your NPI user name and password to access PECOS.
(3) Review the information to make certain it is accurate.
Each client will require specific documentation to complete the application/update process, depending on the request from their local carrier.
Typical lead-in times requested by HPMSI for application assistance:
New Provider / Practice with no current Medicare number: 4 months
New provider to existing practice: 3 months
Established provider to existing practice: 3 months
Revalidation: 2 months
Change update: 1 month
Please note: Medicare carriers have up to 90 days to process a 'clean' application. It may take longer if additional information or clarification is required. This can mean the delay of a newly hired physician seeing Medicare patients, or - in the case of a practice change of information, a delay in revenue. Every provider/practice is different and will require a personal approach to ensure a smooth application process and reduce the span of time that can halt Medicare payments.
Disclaimer: HPMSI does not guarantee confirmation of your Medicare carrier's acceptance of your information by a specific date. HPMSI will verify and submit all information in a timely manner and provide proof of mail delivery and online submissions to the client. HPMSI remains engaged with the client until carrier acceptance with written notification and successful claims submissions is complete.
